Q&A on Dementia and Alzheimer's Disease

Updated: Apr 30, 2021

"Many people have loved ones experiencing dementia and Alzheimer's. Is there anything for us to know about where they are, and what we can do to alleviate the frustrations and challenges we might feel on this journey?"

"Know that just as any major experience that greatly impacts the self as well as others, this experience was arranged before incarnation and agreed upon all involved to be part of the experience. And just as with these major experiences there are lessons for the individuals and those caring for the individual as well as potential for growth and expansion. This does not make the experience any less difficult, but that is the simple answer as to why it occurs. Know that those with the affliction often learn to live in the Present, to enjoy the moment, and to release the burdens of the past, for living truly happens within the Present moment. Take comfort in knowing that once they have reached the stage in which they cannot consciously remember or find their way back to the Present, their soul IS NOT trapped within them. They are still tied to the physical body, however they often act as a free agents, so to speak, and project themselves within different dimensional planes, alternative realities, as well as provide comfort to their loved ones. This period provides a learning experience through observation. For those who have loved ones with this affliction we say to you to find the silver lining. Look for the positives within the Present moment. What can you share NOW? How can you love NOW? How can you spend meaningful time with your loved one NOW? How can you live your life differently in order to live your life to the fullest NOW? No matter what the experience, positive or negative, effortless or challenging, there is ALWAYS something to be learned."
